Solid Hardwood Installation
Solid hardwood uses natural wood throughout each plank. Oak, maple, hickory and other species provide different grain patterns, hardness levels and price points.
Nail-down and staple-down systems are common for solid hardwood installed over suitable wood subfloors. The installer should inspect the substrate for movement, damage and moisture concerns before installation begins.
Solid hardwood can also provide long-term refinishing potential when plank thickness and condition permit future sanding.
