Hardwood Flooring
Hardwood installation requires attention to subfloor condition, wood movement, layout and the installation method specified for the product. Solid hardwood may use nail-down or staple-down installation, while engineered products can allow additional methods depending on the flooring and substrate.
Contractors should also determine whether the existing hardwood needs replacement. Structurally sound floors with surface wear may qualify for refinishing instead of removal.
