How to Prepare Your Subfloor Before New Flooring Goes Down

by mzulqurnain654@gmail.com August 5, 2026 0 Comments

A new floor is only as good as what’s underneath it. Before any installation, the subfloor needs to be clean, dry, level, and structurally sound — skipping this step is one of the most common reasons a new floor starts squeaking, gapping, or wearing unevenly within a year or two.

We check for moisture, soft spots, and unevenness before every job, and level or repair the subfloor as needed. It adds a bit of time upfront, but it’s the difference between a floor that lasts and one that needs attention again sooner than it should.
