Vinyl plank has become one of our most requested materials, and for good reason — it’s water-resistant, holds up well to foot traffic, and costs less than hardwood while still looking convincing from a few feet away.
The trade-offs: it doesn’t add the same resale value as real hardwood, and it can’t be refinished if it gets damaged — a scratched or gouged plank needs to be replaced. For kitchens, bathrooms, and basements especially, though, it’s hard to beat on durability for the price.
